This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is incorporated by reference into the Agreement and applies to Customer’s and its Authorized Users’ use of the Services. Capitalized terms not defined in this AUP have the meanings given in the applicable Services Agreement between Customer and Sedra. In the event of a conflict between the AUP and this Agreement, the Agreement will control unless this AUP expressly states otherwise with respect to a specific operational, security, or use restriction.
1. Prohibited Uses
Customer will not, and will not permit any third party to, use the Services to:
- (a) submit, upload, process, or transmit any data, content, or materials that Customer does not have the right to collect, use, disclose, process, or transfer for use with the Services;
- (b) interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the integrity, security, or operation of the Services or any related systems;
- (c) gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or any accounts, systems, or networks connected to the Services;
- (d) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code, underlying models, or non-public components of the Services, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- (e) use the Services to develop, train, improve, or support a competing product, service, model, or dataset;
- (f) use the Services or any Output as the sole basis for any material legal, compliance, employment, lending, insurance, enforcement, or other significant decision without appropriate human review; or
- (g) upload, transmit, or introduce any malware, virus, harmful code, or other material intended to damage, disable, or impair the Services.
2. Sensitive and Regulated Data
Customer will not use the Services with data requiring materially different legal, regulatory, or security treatment than that described in the Agreement, applicable Order Form, or DPA, unless expressly agreed by Sedra in writing.
3. AI and Output
The Services include artificial intelligence and machine learning functionality. Customer is responsible for reviewing and evaluating any Output before relying on it. Customer will not use the Services or any Output as a substitute for independent professional judgment, nor as the sole basis for decisions or actions that could negatively affect the rights, safety, or legal status of any individual.
4. Enforcement
Sedra may investigate suspected violations of this AUP and may suspend access to the Services as permitted under the Agreement if Customer or any Authorized User violates this AUP.
